Headcount flew winner Peter Burrous and his friend to Punta Cana for Dominican Holidaze, the ultimate vacation for fans of Umphrey's McGee, The Disco Biscuits, and STS9, to enjoy white sands and tropical cocktails this December.

Below Peter talks about his favorite parts of the experience.

Propeller: How did you find out about the campaign and what type of actions did you complete to earn points towards winning this experience?

Peter: I found out about Propeller via Umphrey's McGee's Facebook post about the Holidaze contest. To earn points, I found causes that I was interested in and signed petitions, followed on Twitter, etc. My largest points came from registering to vote through Headcount.

Propeller: What was the highlight of your time in Punta Cana?

Peter: The highlight of our trip was watching Joe Russo's Almost Dead from a cabana next to the ocean. The moon was full and we just laid back and watched shooting stars streak the sky while we listened to JRAD and the crashing waves. It was one of the greatest love music experiences of my life.

Propeller: What else did you enjoy about Dominican Holidaze?

Peter: We loved floating in the pool for Brendan Bayliss' (of Umphrey's McGee) acoustic set. Particularly singing along to one of my favorite Beck songs, "Debra"! I can almost certainly say I won't see that again.

Propeller: Why is HeadCount important to you?

Peter: I have seen Headcount at several festivals before, but I hadn't investigated much further. Once I saw that I could gain entries into the contest on Propeller, I went ahead and updated my voter registration. It's great that Headcount gives people an easy way to register/update registration. I believe that the more active, informed voters a country has, the better the elected officials become (and thus, the better the legislation becomes).

Propeller: Is there anything you'd like to add about your experience?

Peter: The entire process was seamless, and I will be sure to spread the word about Headcount!
