BREAKING NEWS: President Trump plans to expand dangerous offshore drilling into new areas like the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, and could even include the Pacific.
Expanding dangerous offshore drilling puts vibrant ocean ecosystems and critical marine life at risk, and is bad for business, threatening thriving coastal economies and lucrative industries.
Together, we must stand united against this grave threat, before it's too late.
Tell your members of Congress: Oppose President Trump's plan to expand dangerous offshore drilling before our oceans, marine life and communities pay the ultimate price.
Dear Member of Congress:
As your constituent, I ask you to protect the Atlantic, Arctic and Pacific oceans from dangerous new offshore drilling.
After years of hard work, Oceana supporters like me recently helped remove the Atlantic and Arctic habitats from the five-year offshore drilling plan, protected important areas to combat climate change, and stopped seismic airgun blasting from proceeding in the Atlantic.
I urge you – as my voice in Congress – to defend our hard work. Offshore drilling leads to oil spills, and regardless of size oil spills do harm to marine life, marine ecosystems and the economies of coastal communities.
I call on you to uphold these landmark decisions for our economy and our environment. Please protect our coasts from dangerous offshore energy development.
